From the company archives the original company trademark has been reborn and re-introduced on the company’s livery.  Ripon was way back when home to a renowned company producing steel spurs that sold nationwide which the trademark hinges on. We have to remember that Williamson was one of the very first coating, lacquer and varnish manufacturers in the country. Whilst Ripon is home to the grandest of cathedral, which you ought to visit, it was and remains a quiet market town in North Yorkshire, the business needed substance as it grew through the Industrial Revolution and the birth of rail transport.
